Steven Albert Neset, age 53, died on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in his home in rural Valley City, ND, on Lake Ashtabula.
Steve was born on October 10, 1966 in Mayville ND to Stuart and Beatrice (Newman) Neset. He graduated high school from May-Port in 1984.
Steve married Lori (Stremick) Kahle in August of 1987 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. They resided in Mayville, Halstad MN, Page ND, and Mayville again when Steve attended Mayville State University to obtain his B.S. degree in Business Administration. They have two children, Derek and Mandi. Steve married Karla (Anderson) Neset in June of 1998 at Finley Lutheran Church in Finley ND. They have one daughter, Samantha. They resided in Finley where Steve worked many years for Finley Farmers Elevator and Agronomy. In June of 2019 Steve purchased his dream and moved to a lake home on Lake Ashtabula and worked for Maple Valley AG of Tower City ND.
Steve was avid in hunting, fishing, and watching baseball. All these hobbies he taught his children and enjoyed doing with them along with many other friends and family. Steve also really enjoyed cruising on his Harley or in his blue 1997 Chevy pickup. His favorite sports team was the Minnesota Twins and he attended multiple games and spring trainings in Florida.
Steve is survived by his parents: Stuart and Beatrice Neset of Mayville, ND; son: Derek Neset of West Fargo, ND; daughter: Mandi (boyfriend Eric Hafvenstein) Neset of Granite Falls, MN; daughter: Samantha (fiancé Hamilton Enger) Neset of Mayville, ND; brother: Karl (Catz) Neset of Plymouth, MN. He is also survived by his nieces.
Steve is preceded in death by his aunts and uncles.
All monetary donations can be sent to the Neset family to help cover the funeral expenses.

Visitation: Will be 5–7 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial Service: will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.
Burial: Will be in Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
