Steven Douglas Archambeau was called home on August 22, 2019.
Steve was born August 18, 1967 to Charles and Mildred (Trauger) Archambeau in Sacramento, CA. Steve and his brother, Doug, spent most of their growing up years in Elgin, ND, tormenting their mother.
During his adult years, Steve lived in Bismarck, ND. There he met his one true love Kelly Cook and they combined their families on June 12, 1999. The next year they moved to Mayville, ND where they made their home and raised their children. In May of 2018, Steve and Kelly bought their dream home just outside of Galesburg, ND. Steve loved working around the house and especially liked taking care of the 5 acres he loved so dearly. He even gladly endured Kelly’s honey-do lists.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his family, teaching them to be strong, loyal and loving; and with his friends: golfing, fishing and snowmobiling. He loved to bring each grandchild out to the farm for a special day with Grandpa, working in the yard, clearing tree rows and doing whatever Grandma asked them to. Some of his fondest memories were of family camping with the ‘Splash and Giggle Canoe Club,’ when his whole family would take a week and go camping and fishing. Steve and Kelly enjoyed their weekends camping at Golden Lake with family, friends and their loyal dogs: Buddy and Swiss.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 20 years: Kelly; his mother: Milly; and his adoring children: Joshua Raywalt of Bismarck, Ashton Sundeen of Mayville, Jake (Courtney) Archambeau of Mayville, Jesse Archambeau of Mayville, Jonathan (Shelby) Raywalt of Grand Forks and honorary son: Kenneth Ferguson of Hillsboro; his brother: Doug Archambeua of Bismarck ND; sister: Karen (Steve) Nitschke of Jamestown. He will be so dearly missed by his grandchildren: Austin, Miles, Sarah, Caleb, Mason, Axel and Knox; and by his best friends Luke Cook and Jeff Payne.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his father: Charles and his grandson: Jax Francis Raywalt.
Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
