Ramona Ann Chamberlain

   Ramona “Mona” Ann Chamberlain, 89, of Mayville, ND died June 28, 2019 at the Sanford Medical Center, Mayville, ND.

   Ramona was born on January 18, 1930 in Aberdeen, SD to Kenneth and Agnes (Perry) Kronschnabel and graduated from Glenwood, MN in 1948.

   She married Calvin Clyde Chamberlain on April 27, 1950. She worked as a Nurses Aid at Michigan ND, she assisted Cal with several businesses in Mayville (Cal’s Texaco Station, Cal’s Ice), and worked at Luther Memorial Home in the kitchen.

   She loved knitting, crocheting – making afghans for family members, quilting, watching the Minnesota Twins, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking for people. She liked doing a variety of crafts. Mona and Cal were known for their dancing. The floor would clear for Mona and Cal to Polka. She was active in the Mayville Lutheran Church.

   Ramona is survived by her sons: Charley (Eileen) of Plymouth, MN, Steven (Elaine) of Waterloo, IA, Fred (Bonnie) of Austin, MN; daughters: Cheryl of Tulsa, OK, Sharon of Grand Forks, ND; daughter-in-law: Marcia of Pierre, SD; niece: Alice (Harold) Simengaard of Portland, ND; 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren; brother: Leo of Cambridge, MN; sister: Bonnie (Monte) Mauth of Coeur d'Alene, ID; brother-in-law: Fred (Marilyn) Chamberlain of Pine River, MN; sister-in-law: Marlene Chamberlain of Baxter, MN; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Calvin Clyde; son: Michael; brothers: Leroy, August, Robert and Julius; brother-in-law Elmer; sisters-in-law: Shirley (Leo), Agnes, Doris, and Janice; nephews: Wayne, Scott, Lonnie and Terry; and her niece: Dorothy.

Visitation:  Will be 5–7 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
