Olga "Inez" Hanson

  Inez Hanson, 105 ½ , passed away peacefully on Saturday August 3, 2024, in Hatton, ND under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and Hatton Prairie Village.

 Olga Inez Flaten was born January 21, 1919, to Olaf J and Inga (Holm) Flaten in Rural Portland ND. She was raised and also attended school there. 

 In October 1939, she married Glenn Prentis Hanson. Together they had five children, Raymond, Roger, Rita, Rosann and Richard. Throughout Inez's life she maintained a home and was an amazing cook, baker and loved to put her hands in the dirt. These wonderful attributes provided her with the ability to be a caregiver to many within the communities she lived in. Inez had only a handful of jobs outside of the home which included the Aneta Locker and Oberon Grocery. 

 Inez is survived by her children: Roger (Kary) Hanson (favorite daughter-in-law), Rita Severinson, and Richard (Nicky) Hanson; daughter-in-law Doris Hanson and son-in-law Kevin Hoffmeyer; grandchildren: Darren McCleary, Stacy (John) Freeman, Brian Severinson, Joy Severinson, Chad (Heather) Severinson, Angie (Paul) Kroeplin, Mandi Domier, Amy Jacobson, Billy (Breanne) Hoffmeyer, and Sam Hanson; great grandchildren: Bailey (Kyle)Herrick, Connor (Sarah) McGuire, Alex Hagle, Abby (Cody) Brantner, Brenden Mandt, Melanie Tharaldson, Carter Severinson, Bentley Severinson, Bridgette Severinson, Kendra Kroeplin, Katelyn (Tyler) Midstokke, Kylie Kroeplin, Kathryn Kroeplin, Jaxon Hoffmeyer, Addison Domier, Bernice Hoffmeyer, Braxon Hoffmeyer, and Bailey Hoffmeyer; great-great grandchildren: Hayden Brantner and Beau Brantner. She is also survived by her sisters-in-laws: Ruth Flaten and Alvia Flaten as well as many nieces and nephews. 

 Inez was proceeded in death by her parents: Olaf and Inga; husband: Glenn Hanson; children: Raymond Hanson and Rosann Hoffmeyer; son-in-law: Don Severinson; grandchildren: Dean McCleary, Dawn Hanson and RaeJean McGuire; and siblings: Ruth, Cliff, Florence, Arthur, Claudine, James, Marion, Ione, Glenn, Mardell, Donna Mae and Olaf.

 Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Funeral Service: Will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Aurdal Cemetery in Portland, ND.
