Marlan Fugleberg, 90, of Mayville ND died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.
Marlan was born January 22, 1929 to Selma (Syverson) and Clarence Fugleberg on the family farm west of Portland, ND. He graduated from Mayville High School and attended Mayville State College for a year before transferring to North Dakota State University of Pharmacy and graduating with his degree in Pharmacy. Marlan worked for Mayville Rexall Drug for 20 years before purchasing the business. Marlan was a pharmacist for 52 years.
He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Langager on August 5, 1951. They had four children. Marlan enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, yardwork, flower gardening, carpentry and playing pool. Marlan was very dedicated to the Boy Scouts. He was a 20 year Eagle Scout Master. Marlan also received the highest honor in Scouting: the Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of Mayville Lutheran Church where he was active in ushering and photography for the church directories.
Marlan loved spending time with his family: his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of his favorite memories were of taking his kids camping and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Carol (Keith Wayne), Mary Beth (Ron), John (Shawn) and Jeff (Ryan). He was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother: Lyle (Charley), sister: Shirley (William) and special friend, Fern.
Marlan was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Selma and his wife: Barbara on April 24, 2016.

Visitation: Will be 5–7 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.
Burial: Will be in the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
