Lonny Ray Gunderson

     Lonny Ray Gunderson, 51, of Mayville, ND, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.      Lonny was born May 29, 1966 in Mayville, ND to Rodney and Lila Jean (Fyre) Gunderson. He attended Mayville Portland schools and graduated in 1984. He lived in the Mayville area for most of his life.      On July 26, 2002, he married Vonda (Pletschett-Lee) at the courthouse in Hillsboro, ND. Lonny worked for Nokota Packers, INC in Buxton, ND as a forklift foreman for about 26 years.      Lonny enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, Kansas Jayhawks, UND Fighting Sioux and the Minnesota Twins, listening to a variety of music, playing with the remote control for the TV and was an avid softball player. He enjoyed watching his kids play sports and his favorite holiday was the 4th of July.      He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Vonda of Mayville; 3 daughters, Shelby (Mitch) Krueger of Mayville, Nicole Lee of Galesburg, ND and Kristin Lee of Galesburg, ND; 2 sons, Dustin (Lauren) Lee of Fargo, ND and Jacob of Mayville, ND; parents Rodney and Lila Jean of Erskine, MN; 2 brothers, Randy (Jan) of Thompson, ND and Todd (Delene) of Berthoud, CO; and sister Laurie (Mark) Coleman of Erskine, MN; grandchildren, Sawyer and Lincoln Lee of Fargo, ND, Emma Stevens of Galesburg, ND and Codi, Colten and Caitlyn Krueger of Mayville, ND;  aunts, Diane Kvitne of Hillsboro ND, Valerie Gunderson of Buxton, ND and Marilyn Gunderson of Grand Forks, ND; uncles, Myron (Donna) of Bismarck, ND, Dennis (Lorna) of Grand Forks, ND and Richard Fyre of Alexandria MN; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.      He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gust and Hilda Gunderson, Garfield and Etta Fyre; brother Loren and sister Lisha; aunts and uncles, Lawrence and Helene Brend, Gordon and Theoline Gunderson, Orville and MaryAnn Gunderson, Wallace Gunderson, Bill and Mavis Couchigan, Milford and Rosalie Lindstrom, Gayhart Gunderson, Karnes Fyre, Donald and Helen Fyre, Gary and Janet; nephew, Tommy Pletschett.     Visitation:  Will be 2–4 PM with a 4 PM Public Prayer Service on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Baker Funeral Home in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Aurdal  Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. Burial: Will be in the Aurdal Cemetery in Portland, ND.
