Jerome Drogen, 75, Page, ND passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Mayville, ND.
Jerome Roy Drogen was born December 29, 1943 in Fargo, ND to Roy and Elsie (Suhr) Drogen. He grew up on the family farm in Page where he graduated from Page High School in 1961. Jerome studied mechanics at North Dakota State College of Science, then enlisting in the US Army and was stationed in Germany.
Jerome married Linda Tuenge where they farmed with his parents and raised their two kids outside of Page. Jerome retired from farming in 1997 and worked for the Page Elevator for a number of years. After retiring from the elevator, he volunteered driving people to doctor appointments and calling bingo.
Jerome was known for his quick wit and humor, at times embarrassing to his kids, his love of calling Bingo, bowling, playing cards and sprint cars. He was a dedicated 54 year member of the Morton-Reger American Legion Post 154, marching in parades and assisting with the Memorial Day celebration.
He is survived by his wife: Linda; two children: Ben Drogen and Lacie (Matt) Baumgartner; four grandchildren: Wyatt, Connor, Steven and Jocelyn along with one due in December; a sister: Jeannette Matheny and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jerry.
Visitation: Will be 5–7 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Friday, August 23, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page, ND.
Military Honors: Morton~Reger American Legion Post 154 of Page, ND and the North Dakota Military Funeral Honors.
Burial: Will be in the Page Cemetery in Page, ND.
