Jeanne Aasen, 73, Burnsville, Minnesota, was called home to heaven on November 4, 2021. Jeanne was receiving medical care for cancer at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On Friday October 29, 2021 our family moved Jeanne home, with hospice care. For the next six days our family had the opportunity to say good-bye. There were many exchanges between Jeanne and her loved ones that will last forever. God is good!
Jeanne was born in Mayville, North Dakota on September 24, 1948 to Lowell and Donna Lande. Jeanne and her husband Ron rode the same school bus in the 1960s. Ron has always said he fell head-over-heels for this cool lady. Their friendship blossomed. They were united in marriage at Mayville Lutheran Church on April 28, 1967.
They moved to Hatton, North Dakota in 1969. Jeanne worked for her uncle Byron at the hardware store. In 1980 Jeanne, Ron and their daughters Sharlene and Lori took a leap of faith. They moved to Minneapolis which has been their home for over forty years. Sharlene and Lori have found their lifelong partners, Mike and Todd and blessed Jeanne and Ron with five grandchildren, Hannah, Lincoln, Jack, Zoe and Piper. Jeanne and Ron have spent over twenty years following their gifts from God. Jeanne and Ron have often said God put them on this planet to be parents and grandparents. Following their family has been their mission in life. Sharlene, Lori and Jeanne have always been best friends. Their love and loyalty for their mother is truly a gift from our God. Sharlene and Lori have always been respectful and fully committed to their mother and father. Their efforts during their mother’s fight will always be a source of comfort and gratitude.
Jeanne could best be described as a person with love in her heart. Jeanne has been a friend to many. Jeanne’s humility and easy style have made it very easy to love her. Her love for her mother and father could best be described as over the top. Jeanne’s mother and father have been a top priority in her life. Jeanne has always had a close relationship with her brother Larry and his family. Jeanne has been Jenna and Kristen’s number one fan.
This is a very difficult time for family and friends. If you truly love someone, you must be ready to embrace moments like this. As we all know, losing a loved one is part of life as we know it. Jeanne’s legacy will forever be remembered as a wonderful example of a selfless way to live life. Our Lord Jesus Christ really created something special when he allowed us to have Jeanne in our lives. Grace and Gratitude! Safe haven Jeanne. Thanks for a very big effort.
