Grace M. Lien

   Grace M. Lien, 93, of Mayville, ND, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.

   Grace Mercedes Lien was born on May 16, 1925, to Enock and Marie Kaldor near Hillsboro, ND. She grew up on their farm in that area and attended local schools and then Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND.  Following college, she was proud to be employed at DeLendrices in Fargo.

   In 1947, she was united in marriage to Earl Kelly, living in Port Angeles, WA until 1957. In 1958 she married Norval Lien at Portland, ND, moving to Moorhead, MN in 1970. She was a US Postal Service Star Route mail contractor for 30 years. Following retirement she and Norval spent 17 wonderful winters in Citrus City, Az, and summers on Norval’s family farm near Montevideo, MN.

   She enjoyed sewing, canning and being with her family and grandchildren.

   Grace is survived by her daughter: Linda Strand of Portland, ND; son: Keith (Cathy) Kelly of Champlin, MN; daughter: Janice (Lauren) Erickson of Portland, ND; daughter: Bonnie (Mike) Fosse of Horace, ND; 3 step children and many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; two brothers: Maynard and Vernon Kaldor.

Visitation:  Will be 5–6:30 PM Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND.

Celebration of Life Service: 6:30 PM Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND.

Burial: Will be in the Aal Cemetery in Hillsboro, ND.
