Gladys Florence Ellingson

   Gladys Ellingson, 93, of Hillsboro, ND, formerly of Reynolds, ND died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Hillsboro Care Center in Hillsboro, ND.    Gladys was born on June 18, 1925 in Cando, ND to William and Florence (Crampton) Mond. She graduated from the Cando High School and moved to Grand Forks to attain her Registered Nursing Degree, later working at the Deaconess Hospital.    On June 25, 1950 Gladys married Carl W. Ellingson in Cando. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Reynolds. Carl retired in 1988 and she continued to live on the farm till 2008 and then moved to Hillsboro where she has resided since.    Gladys was very kind hearted and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Grandchildren were always special to her. She also enjoyed puzzles of any kind and reading mysteries and romance novels.    She is survived by her 2 daughters: Patricia (Terrance Brown) Allen of Vancouver, WA and Cynthia Vettel of Hillsboro; her son: Robert Ellingson of Colorado Springs, CO; 6 grandchildren: Cody (Danielle Hayes) Allen, Derek Vettel, Melissa (Colton) Steedsman, Michelle (John) Murphy, Andrew (Autumn) Ellingson and Joey Ellingson; 1 great grandchild: Aria.    Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Carl in 1995; brother: Kenneth Mond and a sister-in-law: Esther Haynes. Visitation:  Will be from 1–2 PM Saturday at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at 3 PM Saturday in the Reynolds Cemetery in rural Reynolds, ND.
