Gerald Vernon Malley

   With great sadness the family of Gerald “Jerry” Vernon Malley announces his passing on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the age of 82, at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.

   Gerald was born in Hillsboro, North Dakota on August 22, 1938, to Gerhard and Virginia (Thompson) Malley. His enlistment in the U.S. Air Force led him to the east coast where he met and married Mary Nardone and started their family. After many years of traveling and exploring different occupations, he found himself back in North Dakota where he found friendship and companionship with Anna that ultimately led to their marriage.

   Gerald is survived by his wife of 15 years, Anna; daughters: Sharon, Susan, Cheryl (Monte) and daughter-in-law: Lisa; brothers: Duane and Donald (Laura) and sisters: Marilyn and Gloria (Dale). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Samantha (Tyler), Joshua (Meghan), Zachary, Jaime, Tyler and Blake. He will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

   Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Mary and his eldest child and only son: Brian. May they be together again in the arms of the Lord.

   Gerald’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND, for the wonderful and compassionate end of life care given to Gerald.

Graveside Service: Will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro, ND.

Military Honors: Hillsboro VFW & American Legion Posts.
