EUGENE W BOEDDEKER

Eugene Boeddeker, 92, of Mayville, ND died on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND surrounded by family. He was born in Hillsboro, ND on May 1, 1927, to Henry and Florence (Laubersheimer) Boeddeker.

Eugene attended Herbert Township School through 8th grade prior to solely working on his family farm. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1945 and was stationed in Rhode Island during WWII.  On January 18, 1954, Eugene was united in marriage to Gloria Eley and they made their home in Hillsboro, ND before moving to Mayville, ND. He was very passionate about and dedicated to farming and his family. He was also a very active member of the VFW in Hillsboro, ND.

Eugene is survived by his wife Gloria; granddaughter Annastasia; great-grandson Nathaniel; and sister Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Mark; daughter Molli; grandson Nathaniel; brothers Virgil, Bernard, Hubert, Wilfred, Cletus, and Henry; sisters Beatrice, Ceceilia, Otilda, Agathe, Edith, and Lucille.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. Pastor Leon Philpot will officiate and burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro, ND. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND.
