Erin Beth Haux

   After a protracted battle with cancer, Erin Beth Haux died on November 19, 2019 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND at the age of 59. She leaves behind her husband: Tim Haux; son: Alex Sanderson; stepchildren: Bryan and Jocelyn Haux; grandchildren: Gracie and Ryan Sanderson and Bradyn Haux.

   Erin was born on September 15, 1960 in Mayville, ND to Filmore Sanderson and Eileen Timm. She grew up in a loving family with one sister and one brother in Morristown, MN.

   Erin married Tim Haux on June 21, 2003. They lived on a farm outside of Hillsboro, ND and Erin worked as an assistant manager at the Tesoro gas station in Mayville, ND.

   Erin loved to talk and gossip with all of her customers while she worked and made great memories with the people that visited with her. When she wasn’t working, Erin loved to watch movies, spend time at Devil’s Lake and visit her son and grandchildren in California. When diagnosed with colon cancer in 2011, her will to fight her illness was unparalleled. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.

   Erin is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, as well as a sister: Dawn Schall; sisters-in-law: Lynne Sanderson and Ronell (Jim) Olstad; brother-in-law: Scott (Renee) Haux; mother-in-law: Sandy Braaten; father-in-law: Ron Haux; nieces: Jamie Corbin, Ashley Sanderson (Benny Skluzacek), Jessica Lande and Jenny Olstad; nephews: Scott (Cassie) Corbin, Mark (Eleni) Olstad and Matthew Stasch.

   She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Paul Sanderson.

   Erin requested to be cremated. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Sanford Hospital for their constant, attentive treatment; Erin’s coffee pals; the Baker Funeral Home, for making the arrangements.

Visitation:  Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND.

Burial: Her ashes will be interred at the family plot in Aurdal Cemetery in Portland, ND.
