Elaine M. Viken

   Elaine Viken, 86, of Mayville, ND died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.       Elaine Margaret Viken was born December 31, 1931 in Mayville, ND the daughter of Alvin and Mildred Domier. Elaine was confirmed in Bethany Lutheran Church rural Hatton, ND and graduated from Mayville High School in 1951. Elaine worked various jobs out of high school and worked for a dentist office in Mayville and also St. Lukes Hospital in Fargo, ND.      On March 20, 1955 she married Daniel Viken at Bethany Lutheran church rural Hatton, ND. They had 4 children and farmed near Hope, ND and later years she worked at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.      Elaine was a member of Perry Lutheran Church and was involved with the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren and her great grand-children.       Elaine is survived by her 4 children: Cindy Sorensen of Mayville, Terry (Craig) Klabo of Portland, Jody (Ron) Viseth of Mayville and Todd (Shari) Viken of Hunter; 11 grandchildren: Troy (Merideth) Sorensen, Allen Sorensen, Dale (Jackie) Kraling, Darin Klabo, Shawn Viseth, Kristina (Kasey) Kyllo, Ben (Ashley) Olson, Brittany (Beau) Sorenson, and Heather, Olivia, and Jack Viken; 8 great-grandchildren: Dominic Hanson, Abriania and Hunter Sorensen, Tucker Kraling, Kennedi Klabo, Addison and Madelyn Kyllo, Jordy Olson and Kade Sorenson;  1 sister: Geneva (Mike) Knudson and 1 brother: Dennis (Paulette) Domier and numerous nieces and nephews.      She is preceded in death by her husband: Daniel; her parents; 2 brothers: Wayne Domier and David Domier; 1 sister: Ione Thuen; 2 brothers-in-law: Harold Thuen and Merle Kyllo.     Blessed be the memory of Elaine Margaret Viken.   Visitation:  Will be 5–7 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Perry Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. Burial: Will be in the Perry Cemetery in Portland, ND.
