Eileen Mork passed away October 14th, 2019 at the Hatton Prairie Village Retirement Home in Hatton, ND at the age of 98.
She was born, Eileen Lucille Osking on March 10th, 1921 to Elmer and Elma (Eielson) Osking in what is today the Hatton Eielson Museum. Eileen was the eldest having had two predeceased brothers Elmer Jr. and Ben. She may have been one of the last people to remember her uncle Carl Ben Eielson well. Eileen attended Hatton High School and later she graduated from NDSU, Fargo, ND with a degree in Home Economics. During WWII she taught at Lakota, ND.
On July 10th, 1944 Eileen married Kendall Eugene Mork 10 days after his return from WWII. He had been missing for six months as a Prisoner of War. Eileen married the boy next door and liked to joke that she never got off the block. After a decade of marriage, Eileen had three children in four years; Kristi Eileen in 1955, Kendall Eugene Jr. in 1957 and Kari Emilie in 1958. Eileen went on to teach Home Economics in Central Valley and in Hatton. She was very active socially and beloved by many. Eileen and Kendall celebrated 57 years of marriage in 2000, but he passed away in 2001.
She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Service of Remembrance: Will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton ND.
Funeral Service: Will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND.
