On Thursday, June 17, 2021 Dillon Anderson, a loving son, brother, and father to one, passed away at the age of 22.
Dillon was born on April 17, 1999 in Grand Forks, ND to Dave and Renee (Wright) Anderson. He was raised in the small town of Hatton, ND where he would ignite his passion for technology and robotics. He graduated from Hatton Eielson Public School in 2018 and went on to graduate from the North Dakota State College of Science with a degree in Robotics, Automation and Mechatronics Technology in 2020. He then began his career at 3M in Aberdeen, SD as a Robotic System Technician. On November 3, 2019, Dillon welcomed his little girl Selena Laylani Anderson.
If you knew Dillon, you knew he had a passion for three things in life. Music, old classic cars and anything technology or robotics. He always had a guitar pick or a screwdriver for any moment, never knowing when he may need to whip out his guitar skills or fix something up for someone. He truly had the kindest heart and was never afraid to lend a helping hand. The way to his heart was through music, any kind as long as it had meaning. An old soul born to the wrong era. He was known for his soft smirk, and quite tone but his heart and soul heard through every strum on his guitar.
Dillon could be seen driving his Teal Blue Thunder Bird, his prized possession, working on it any spare moment he had. Selena, or Lena as he called her was the spirit and life that kept him going. Being a father brought him so much joy and happiness. He will always be remembered for his brilliant mind, being an incredible father, a loving son, brother, and true friend to those that knew him.
Dillon is survived by his daughter: Selena and her mother: Vasariah Robles; his parents: Dave and Renee (Wright) Anderson of Hatton, ND; his brother: Brad Anderson and Skylar Mcintosh and their family of Finley, ND; his sister Emily Anderson and Jordan Hoffman of Finley, ND; his grandfather: James Earl and Wilda Wright of Woodland, Illinois. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dillon is preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Wright of Woodland, Illinois, Beverly and Willis Anderson of Watseka, Illinois. His aunt, Judy Wright and uncles, James Wright (Jimmy Dale) of Woodland, Illinois and Mike Anderson of Watseka, IL and cousin: Cory Seibring of Sheldon, IL.
In honor of Dillon, memorials can be made to 876 Hatton-Northwood Thunder Robotics.
