Carole Peterson, 82, of Mayville, ND died Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.
Carole Jeanne Peterson was born in Fargo, ND on October 2, 1941, to Ione Holland and Ward Peterson. She attended Shanley High School in Fargo, graduating in 1959. She then went on to college at NDSU.
Carole Jeanne lived and worked at many different places. These include St. Paul, MN at a donut shop, Fargo ND in various administration duties, Clifford-Galesburg area at the General Store and Mayville/Portland area in the restaurant industry.
Some of her favorite activities throughout the years included playing pool, going to Bingo (DO NOT TALK TO HER DURING A BINGO GAME!), cheering on the Twins baseball team, visiting casinos, and just recently watching old western movies. When asking Carole about her favorite recollections, she did not hesitate to say that spending time with her grandkids was her happiest memory.
Carole Jeanne was a strong woman and full of corny jokes, some only she would find funny. Someone could easily spend an afternoon visiting her and she would have many tales that would leave you laughing and shaking your head. You could hear her laughter from far away. She was feisty yet colorful, scrappy yet spunky, strong-willed yet playful.
She is survived by her 4 children: Randy (Barb) Peterson, Brian Peterson, Terri (Brett) Neset and Michelle Peterson. She also had 11 grandchildren that have added great grandchildren as new additions. Also included is her brother: Alfred (Carol) Martin along with many nieces and nephews.
