Bocephus (Bo) Alan Peter Agnes passed away unexpectedly on March 20 at his home in Portland, ND from a seizure. Bocephus was born at Rolla, ND on July 29, 1990. He resided in Mayville, Grand Forks and Portland. He attended Peter Boe Elementary School in Mayville, West Elementary and Valley Middle School in Grand Forks. He graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 2009; while in high school, Bocephus was a member of the Jr. ROTC and graduated as a Captain. Those who knew him were inspired by his contagious smile, outgoing personality and thoughtfulness. He had great respect for Veterans and when he saw Veterans, he always shook their hands and thanked them for their service to our country. Bocephus enjoyed nature walks with his mom, watching NBA Basketball and calculating statistics on players, and creating colorful pictures which he shared with loved ones. His goal in life was to serve in the military, but he was unable to attain that goal because of his seizure disorder. The diagnosis severely affected his life, but he optimistically made the best of what life handed him. Bo’s happiest time in life was when he was able to walk his mom down the aisle and give her hand in marriage. God bless his memory.
