Jeffrey Wayne Aasen

Jeffrey Wayne Aasen, 45, of Cummings, ND, died Monday, December 18, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Jeffrey was born October 3, 1961, at Mayville, ND, the son of Wayne and Karolyn (Moen) Aasen. He was baptized at First American Lutheran Church, Mayville and was confirmed at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville. He grew up in Mayville and graduated in 1980 from Mayville High School. In 1981 he worked at Cummings Farmers Elevator and Northern Pride Feeds. He continued to work there until 1989 when he went to work for Sky Tractor Company at Hillsboro, ND, where he was presently employed. In 1988 he married Angela Vondal at Mayville Lutheran Church. Together they resided in Cummings, ND. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, ND, and formerly of Mayville Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Lynn Speiring Post #4 of Hillsboro, ND. Jeff loved music and playing steel guitar for Our Savior’s Contemporary Church, Pure Country and Point Blank. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, snowmobiling, and swimming and boating at Island Lake. He loved to decorate for the holidays and being with his kids and family. He is survived by his wife, Angela, Cummings; two sons, Jeffrey, Mayville, ND and Andrew, Cummings, ND; two daughters, Jessica (Jess) Brekke, Edmore, ND, and Katie, Cummings, ND; one grandson, Kendall Aasen, Moorhead, MN; parents Wayne and Karolyn, Fargo, ND; grandmother, Avis Aasen, Mayville, ND; three brothers, Keith (Barb) Aasen, Bismarck, ND, Todd Aasen, Hillsboro, ND, and Danny (Amy) Aasen, Fargo, ND; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Aasen, and grandparents Marion and Kermit Moen. FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. VISITATION: Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 5-7 PM at Baker Funeral Home, Mayville, ND, and one hour prior to the funeral service, at the church. BURIAL: Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
