Vernon Ordean Dahle

Vernon Ordean Dahle, 73, of Galesburg, ND, died Monday, November 15, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur, ND. Vernon was born on March 23, 1937 in Arvilla, ND. He was baptized March 26, 1937. Vernon joined the U.S. Army on May 7, 1957 and was honorably discharged August 15, 1957. Vernon married Violet Friesz on September 9, 1964 in Elgin, ND. He attended welding school to become a welder at BJC Trades and Industry divisions where he built his first well truck. This inspired him to become a well driller. Vernon started his own well drilling business (Dahle's Well Drilling). Vernon built himself a saw mill where he sawed lumber for people in his later years. Also for 3 years he worked for the police force at Mayville State College. Vernon is survived by two daughters, Renae Goss of Hunter, ND and Tammy Dahle of Beulah, ND; two sons, Larce Dahle of Galesburg, ND and Dennis Dahle of Yuba City, CA; grandchildren, Jessica, Benjamin, Jennifer, MaryBeth, Brandi, Dalton, and Dane; and two great-grandchildren, Destiny Rose, and Brenden. He was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Hendrickson and his adoptive parents, Otto and Lindie (Bjugan) Dahle. Visitation: Will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday with a 7 pm public prayer service at the Elm River Lutheran Church in Galesburg, ND.
