John Mark Gray

John Gray, 66, of Page, ND, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at the Arthur Good Samaritan Center in Arthur, ND. John Mark Gray was born on January 12, 1944 in Erie, ND to Ben and Myrtle Gray of Page. He grew up on his parents’ farm near Page. He attended school at Colgate Public schools and graduated from Page High School. John attended both NDSU and UND. He served in the US Navy. After his naval service he returned to the Page area where he farmed until his retirement in 2007. John was active in his church and community. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching and playing golf, reading, and cooking. John is survived by four brothers and one sister, B. Martin (Betty Jo) of Page, Paul (Helen) of Cleburne, TX, James (Jeanette) of Page, Ruth Lemley of Hatton, ND, and Roy (Rita) of Mentor, MN; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David and nephew, Walter Gray. John rests in peace today, free of pain and in the care of his loving heavenly Father. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND. Visitation: 5-7 P.M. Sunday, October 10, 2010 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. and will resume one hour prior to the funeral service, all at the church. Burial: Page City Cemetery, Page, ND.
