Rebecca Lynn Sass

Rebecca Lynn Sass, 14, of Crookston, MN, formerly of Mayville, ND, died September 6, 2006, at her home in Crookston. Rebecca “Becca” was born on November 12, 1991, in Roseau, MN, the daughter of Barbara Berdahl and Stanley Sass. The family moved to Grafton, ND in 1994. She was baptized in the Lutheran Faith in Grafton. In 2002, she moved to Mayville where she attended school. In the summer of 2006, she moved with her family to Crookston, MN. Becca loved to sing and write songs. She also enjoyed all types of animals, especially dogs, horses and horse related items. She was in the school choir, track and Future Business Leaders of America. She was always so full of energy and was very protective of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Barbara (Steve Lien) Berdahl of Crookston, MN; father, Stanley Sass of Grafton, ND; one sister, Ashley Sass of Crookston, MN; one brother, Joshua Sass of Walhalla, ND; paternal grandmother, Kay Theroux of Minto, ND; and many other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Norman and Betty Berdahl; and Paternal step-grandfather, Jerry Theroux. Funeral: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. Visitation: Monday, September 11, 2006 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Baker Funeral Home, Mayville, ND and one hour before the funeral at the church.
