Harriet Lucille Baasch, 90, of Page, ND, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. Harriet was born October 25, 1919 to Alfred and Alma (Christiansen) Lorensen in Pequot Lakes, MN. Alma died at a young age and Harriet was raised by her father and step mother, Nell Seymour. She grew up in MN and the Tower City area in ND. She attended school at the Kelly School and the Weimer School. She married Henry H. Baasch on Jan 12, 1935. They farmed in the Tower City – Page area. Henry died in July 1988. Harriet lived on the farm until she moved into Page in 2003. In August 2009 she moved to Villa Maria Nursing Home in Fargo. Harriet was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page and had been active in WELCA, Mary Circle and quilting at the church. She was an excellent cook – known for her chicken, potatoes and gravy, apple pie and lemon meringue pie. She loved her family unconditionally and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Thompson of Page; 2 sons, Steven (Laurelie) of Page and Tony (Loretta) of West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Thomas (Tammy) Thompson, Shelly (Thomas) Burchill, James (Jennifer) Thompson, Monte (Suzette) Baasch, Andrew Baasch, Mathias (Amy) Baasch, Michelle Kyser, Wade Kyser, Renae (Tim) Aronson, Scott (Jenna) Kyser, Emily Baasch and Katie Baasch; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eileen (Richard) Stumm of Cape Coral, FL and Evelyn Wood of Chickamauga, GA; sisters-in-law, Vada Sands of Ojibwa, WA, and Alice Winn (Jim Ralph) of Ryderwood, WA; brother-in-law, William (Lorraine) Baasch of Page; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; infant daughter Gail; son, Ronald; daughter-in-law Yvonne Baasch; son-in-law, William Thompson; her parents; step mother; sisters, Helen Christiansen, Hazel Malone and Maxine Baasch. Visitation: 5-7PM with a prayer service at 7:00PM, Friday, April 23, 2010 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND, and one hour prior to the funeral service, on Saturday, at the church. Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND. Interment: Page City Cemetery, Page, ND.
