Selma Fugleberg

Selma Fugleberg, 95, Fargo, ND, formally of Mayville, ND, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND. Selma Irene Severson was born September 26, 1910, in Portland, ND the daughter of Sever and Inger Severson. She grew up in the Mayville-Portland area, and attended school in Mayville. She was confirmed May 31, 1925 at Mayville Lutheran Church. She married Clarence Fugleberg September 23, 1928 at Bang Lutheran Church, Portland, ND. Together they made their home in Mayville. Clarence died in 1989. Selma entered Bethany Homes in 2002. Selma was a member of the Son’s of Norway Women’s Choir. She was active in the Lady’s Aid at the Mayville Lutheran Church, where she also taught Sunday school. She is survived by three children, Marlan (Barbara) Fugleberg, Mayville, ND, Lyle (Charley Ann) Fugleberg, Winter Park, FL, and Shirley (William) Brunsdale, Fargo, ND; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest (Inez) Severson, Hayward, CA; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, her parents, four brothers, Lawrence, Ingvald, Clayton and Leonard Severson, and two sisters, Garda Johnson and Evelyn Rostad. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 2:30 PM at Mayville Lutheran Church, Mayville, ND. VISITATION: One hour prior to the funeral service, at the church. BURIAL: Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
