Maxine Altha Green

Maxine Altha Green, 96, of Hatton, ND passed away Saturday August 26, 2017 at the Sanford Hospital in Mayville, ND. Maxine was born December 30, 1920 in Kennewick, Washington to David and Alma (Lerfald) Boyer. She graduated from Mayville Public School and received her teaching degree from Mayville State College. Maxine married (Royce) David Green on August 16, 1946 after David returned from the war. They had two children: Pamela and jon. Maxine was active in many community groups including St. John Lutheran Church. She took great pride in creating beautiful Christmas ornaments and enjoyed even more, giving them away. Maxine is survived by her daughter: Pamela (Marv Wassenaar) Hans of Sioux Falls, SD; son: Jon (Edie) Green of Grand Forks, ND; her two grandsons: Christopher (Nicki) Green and Brenton (Kaitlyn) Green; three great granddaughters: Maia, Lily and Keira Green; and her brother: David Boyer. She is preceded in death by her husband: David; parents: David and Alma Boyer; sister: Beulah Hanson and brother: Floyd Boyer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hatton Prairie Village, St. John Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice. Visitation: Will be from 6–7 PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 with 7:00 PM Public Prayer Service at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton, ND and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND. Burial: Will be at the St. John Cemetery in Hatton, ND.
