Richard "Bud" Homstad

Richard “Bud” Homstad, 91, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, formerly of Mayville, ND died on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Richard was born April 1, 1926 to Gerhard and Minnie Homstad. Bud owned Homstad Construction and worked at Sorenson Construction until he retired. He enjoyed working on cars, sports and a good cup of coffee with friends. He is survived by his wife of 67 years: Dorothy (Enger); two sons: James of Banning, CA and Paul (Judy) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; he has 5 grandchildren: Jenny and Hugh Fetla of New Jersey, Jerry of Phoenix, AZ and Kyle of San Diego, Eric and Bridgette of Rancho Cucamonga. There are 5 great-grandchildren: Asher and Kota Fetla, Noah, Penelope and Kayla Homstad; and a sister: Beatrice of Santa Barbara, CA. Bud was preceded in death by his brother: Milton. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at the Mayville Cemetery in Mayville, ND.
