Elsie Drogen

Elsie Drogen, 95, of Mayville, formerly of Page, ND, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. Elsie was born on October 10, 1921, the daughter of John and Meta Suhr. She attended country school near the family farm. On January 20, 1942, she married Roy Drogen in Fargo, ND. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Page and later built a home where she resided until October of 2015. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page and was active in the church circle. She enjoyed dancing with her husband Roy, spending time with good friends: Dick and Sharon, puzzles, and baking cakes, caramel rolls and her famous buns. She was always available to help with family or friends child care. Elsie liked to invite others to her birthday parties. Elsie is survived by her daughter: Jeannette Matheny of Hutchinson, MN; son: Jerome (Linda) Drogen of Page, ND; four grandchildren: Ben Drogen, Lacie (Matt) Baumgartner, Jeffrey Matheny and Jared (Julie) Matheny; eight great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Connor, Steven, Jocelyn, Brock, Caden, Camille and Jack; and a step brother: Wallace. She is preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1978; son-in-law: Jerry Matheny; two sisters: Katheryn and Regina; brother: John; step sister: Gladys and a step brother: Ranold. Visitation: Will be one from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page, ND. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Monday, July 3, 2017 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page, ND. Burial: Will be at the Page Cemetery, Page, ND.
