Norton Korn, 88, of Georgetown, Texas, and formerly of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died on May 10, 2017. Norton was born on September 11, 1928, in New York City. He grew up in the Bronx and graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in 1946. Norton served in the U.S. Air Force during the occupation of Japan after WWII and in Korea during the Korean War. He married Eileen Larson in 1953 in Mayville, North Dakota. He and Eileen lived in Madison, Wisconsin, where Norton graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1955 with a degree in journalism. Eileen and Norton moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1955, where Norton spent his career in advertising and public relations. Their daughter Kristine was born in 1967. Norton and Eileen lived in Minneapolis until 1996 when they moved to Sun City in Georgetown, Texas. Norton was known for entertaining friends and family with jokes and stories, playing golf every weekend, and visiting friends and family in Mayville, North Dakota. Norton is survived by his wife, Eileen Korn of Georgetown, Texas; his daughter Kristine Niemeyer of Austin, Texas; and his twin grandsons, Carl and Samuel Niemeyer.
