Eunice Geneva Klabo, 95, of Mayville, ND died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. Eunice was born July 23, 1921 in Portland, ND to Albert and Anna (Heskin) Aamold. Eunice was baptized and confirmed at Aurdal Lutheran Church in Portland. She attended school in Portland and graduated from high school in 1939. She worked as a telephone operator in Portland until she married Troy B. Klabo in 1944. They built a home at the edge of town after the war. In 1949, they moved to the family farm. Eunice worked at the Luther Memorial Home as a nurse’s aide and later as the activities director. She taught Sunday school and played the church organ for many years. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, baking and cooking. She wintered many years in Arizona, first with Troy and then her sister, Bev. She loved her family and many kind friends who helped her as her eyesight failed. Eunice is survived by her sons: Mark (Sheree) Klabo of Racine, WI and Dale (Linda) Klabo of Winona, MN. There are five grandchildren, Katie, Kerry, Troy, Mike and Jill; and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother: Leonard “Lenny” Aamold. She is preceded in death by her three siblings: Shirley Boyer, Beverly Carlson and Carol Mix. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church. Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. Burial: Will be at the Bruflat Cemetery, Portland, ND.
