Ardis Evelyn Voltz

Ardis Evelyn Voltz, 82, Galesburg, ND, died Monday, April 3, 2006 at Union Hospital, Mayville, ND. Ardis was born the daughter of Oscar and Clara (Simonson) Paulson on September 15, 1923 in Edendale Township, ND. She attended school at the Edendale #2 country school. She married Clayton Voltz on August 4, 1945 in Hillsboro, ND. They farmed near Clifford from 1946 to August 2000. They also drove the school bus for the Hope Public School, for several years. Ardis enjoyed making and selling lefse, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Kenneth (Kathy), Galesburg, ND, Marlene Voltz, Grand Forks, ND, Jeffrey (Geri), Galesburg, ND, and Kirby (Judy), Clifford, ND; four granddaughters, Jade, Jennifer, Kara Jo and Melissa; four great-grandsons, Shawn, Vincent, Ryan and Spencer; brother, Walter Paulson, Portland, ND; sister Doris (Edgar) Schmidt, Hope, ND; sister-in-law, Alice Voltz, Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; parents; brother, Oliver; and one grandchild. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family. Memorial Service: Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Perry Lutheran Church, rural Portland, ND. Interment: Perry Cemetery, rural Portland, ND.
