Marianne Fendrick, 69, of Mayville, ND, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at Luther Memorial Home, Mayville. Marianne was born March 22, 1940 to Floyd and Ione (Hetland) Wekkind in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis and attended Washburn High School. In 1958 she married Arthur Connelly and had one son, Mark. She worked at the A&W drive in and very much enjoyed being a car-hop. She married Daniel Fendrick in 1968 and had twin boys, Darrell and Damon. In 1976 they moved to Grand Forks, ND. Daniel died in 1988. Marianne lived in various places until entering Luther Memorial Home in 2006. Marianne was well known in the area for being a consultant for Princess House, for 21 years. She took great pride in her work, winning many trips including Paris, Hawaii and Spain. Marianne is survived by her three sons, Mark Connelly of Kenosha, WI, Darrell Fendrick of Tyler, TX, and Damon (BranDee) Fendrick of Portland, ND; one sister, Muriel Schaffer of Burnsville, MN; 17 grandchildren, Marah Graham, Chloe Connelly, Meaghan Tamuz, Robin Slavin, Isaiah, Christan, and Jesse Connelly; Tyler Shacklett, Austyn and Kayleigh Fendrick; Calvin, Savannah, Jordan, Cory, Ethan, Jacob, Macy and Maxwell Fendrick; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Daniel, and sister Karen Getty. Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 2:00PM at Mayville United Congregational Church in Mayville. Inurnment: Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
