Dennis Lillemoen, 71, of Hatton, ND, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at his home. Dennis was born on December 6, 1943 in Mayville, ND to Palmer and June (Nelson) Lillemoen. He grew up on the family farm East of Hatton and attended Morgan #2 Elementary School. Dennis farmed with his dad, Palmer for a number of years and later as an independent truck driver; Dennis Lillemoen Trucking. Dennis loved the farm, but do to health reasons, he moved into Hatton about four years ago. Dennis was a simple man who lived a simple life. He often talked about the peacefulness of living on the farm where he was raised. He enjoyed driving around the countryside looking at the crops and visiting with the neighbors. Dennis liked tinkering with old tractors. He could make an old John Deere run no matter how hard it didn’t want to. Dennis liked to find deer during hunting season for his relatives and go hunting with them. The family of Dennis would like to express their gratefulness to all the folks in the Hatton community that helped him in the past years. He is survived by his mother: June Lillemoen; sisters: Mary Jean (Gary) Kvidera all of Fargo, ND and Karen (John) Hovland of Moorhead, MN. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Loren Lillemoen, Jason Kvidera, Jennifer (Randy) Larson, Andrea (Bruce) Manston and Michelle (Travis) Johnson. Dennis is preceded in death by his father: Palmer and a brother: Gerald. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel, Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at the Bethany Cemetery, Hatton, ND.
