Marilyn Henry, 80, died September 13, 2015, at her home in Mandan, ND. Ina Marilyn (Moen) Henry was born March 10, 1935, at Union Hospital in Mayville, ND, to Joseph and Alice Moen of Galesburg. She attended and graduated from Galesburg Public School. She graduated from Mayville State College in 1970, with a degree in elementary education. She taught hundreds of children at the Clifford-Galesburg Elementary School over her 25 years. Marilyn was a member of the Elm River Lutheran Church and supported church activates. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed genealogy and travel. Marilyn married Philip Carl Henry in 1952, and they lived in the Galesburg area. The couple had 5 children; Daniel Henry of Kenai, AK; Denise (Wayne) Cochran of Mandan, ND; Barbara Heatherington of Anchorage, AK; Richard (Heidi) Henry of Grand Forks, ND; and Robert (Diana) Henry of Woodstock, IL. Marilyn had 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Marilyn is also survived by her sister Naomi (Craig) Christensen of Mesquite, NV, her brother Douglas (Linda) Moen of Plano, TX, 10 nieces and nephews, and 19 great nieces and nephews. Other Henry family members include Betty (Lynn) Bring of Galesburg, ND, and Tim Henry of Fargo, ND. Proceeding Marilyn in death were her parents: Joseph and Alice Moen; her brother: Larry Dean Moen; husband: Carl Henry; and son: Robert Henry. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Elm River Lutheran Church in Galesburg, ND. Burial: Will be at the Galesburg Cemetery in Galesburg, ND.
