Helen G. Meyer

Helen G. Meyer, 92 of Mayville, ND died on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. Helen was born on July 23, 1916 to John and Hilda (Hanson) Aasmundstad in Devils Lake, ND. She grew up and attended school in Devils Lake. She married Al Meyer on June 1, 1942 and together they had 3 daughters. Helen was a member of Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, where she was very active. Over the years she enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and her collection of elephants. Helen is survived by 3 daughters, Patty (Bob) Aasen of Monticello, MN, Pam Lerfald of Morgantown, West Virginia, and Kathy Thomas of Fargo, ND; 5 grandchildren, Rob (Erin) Aasen, Jennifer (Troy) Holasek, Matthew Lerfald, Nathan (Charmin) Lerfald, and Jordan Thomas; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Al in 1986, her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
