Anna Mae Getz

Anna Mae Getz, 87, formerly of Mayville, ND, died on February 24, 2015 at the Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton, ND. She was born on May 3, 1927 in Pickert, ND to Julius and Alida (Starren) Edwardson. Ann was raised in Pickert with her two brothers and attended elementary school there. She later attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND. On January 19, 1957 Ann was joined in marriage to Wilmer Getz in Fargo, ND. She raised and loved one son. The couple owned the Gambles Hardware Store in Mayville for 31 years. Ann was a member of the Mayville Lutheran Church and was active in the Mary Circle, Caring Club and the VFW Auxiliary. She also enjoyed quilting and traveling: Italy, Hawaii and Mexico City. Ann is survived by her son: Steven (Gabrielle) Getz of St. Paul, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Edward and Melvin. Visitation: Will be 5 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
