Kathleen Janel Fuglesten

Kathleen Janel Fuglesten, 62, of Buxton, ND died on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND with her family by her side. Kathy was born July 5, 1952 to John and Esther Thompson Hannaford, ND. She graduated high school from Glenfield-Sutton High School in 1970. Kathy attended Mayville State College. While attending college, Kathy met and later married, Gene Fuglesten on December 18, 1971. Kathy worked at the Buxton Farmers Union Oil Coop right up to her passing. She enjoyed working with her coworkers and the friendly community of Buxton. Her grandchildren and pets were a big part of her life. Kathy is survived by her husband: Gene of Buxton, ND; sons: Jon (Mickey) Fuglesten of Mapleton, ND, Scott Fuglesten of Cando, ND, Chad (Jessica) Fuglesten of Bemidji, MN; grandsons: Tyson and Duane; granddaughter: Abby; father: John Thompson of McVille, ND; sisters: Muriel (Dave) Hedrick of Wahpeton, ND, Joan Thompson of Bismarck, ND, Jane (Dale) Tucker of Fargo, ND, Bette (Brad) Messner of McVille, ND, Audrey Thompson of McVille, ND; brother: Johnny (Donna) Thompson of Hannaford, ND; brothers-in-law: John (Loretta) Fuglesten of Detroit Lakes, MN, Glen (Mickey) Fuglesten of Yuma, AZ, Gary (Deb) Fuglesten of Buxton, ND, Robert (Lorna) Fuglesten of Fergus Falls, MN and Joe Darling of Pt. Richmond, CA; sisters-in-law: Carol (Dave) Young of Walker, MN, Judy Gerszewski of Yuma, AZ and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother: Esther Thompson; father and mother-in-law: John and Emma Fuglesten and a sister-in-law: Sonya Darling. Visitation: Will be 5 – 7:00 PM with a 6:30 PM Public Prayer Service on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Buxton, ND and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Buxton, ND. Burial: Will be at Immanuel Cemetery, Buxton, ND.
