Dr. T.L. Christianson, age 90 of Mayville, ND, died peacefully at his home with his loving family surrounding him, and in the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley on Monday, December 29, 2014. Theodore L. Christianson was born on December 28, 1924 in rural Fertile, MN, son of the late Bennie & Nellie (Boen) Christianson. He graduated from Fertile High School in 1943, and joined the Navy, where he was in active duty for 2 ½ years. Once discharged from the Navy, T.L. attended St. Cloud Teachers College, and then was accepted into the Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. He graduated in 1950 and began his Chiropractic practice in Miles City, MT for 3 years, and the rest of his 64-year career, he practiced in Mayville, ND. He was united in marriage to LaVonne Aagenes on August 23, 1947 in Fertile, MN. They were blessed with three children. Dr. Christianson was past president of the ND Chiropractic Association, a Delegate to the National Chiropractic Association, and also served on the state examining board of Chiropractic. T.L. was a member and Past Commander of the local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and held many other offices. He also served as a volunteer fireman with the Mayville Fire Department. T.L. had some favorite activities which included: golf, fishing, hunting, along with bowling for 50 years and he loved playing cards. He was a member and past president of the Sons of Norway, and a long-time member of Mayville Lutheran Church. T.L. is survived by his wife, LaVonne (Aagenes) Christianson, Mayville, ND; daughters: Connie (Gregg) Kaldor of rural Hillsboro, ND, and Susan (Bill) Leacy of Hillsborough, NJ; and son: Alan (Elda) Christianson of Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren include: Kyle (Amanda) Kaldor of Perham, MN; Marshall (Jolynn) Kaldor of Fargo, ND; Demi & Michael Christianson of Phoenix, AZ; Connor & Shavonne Leacy of Hillsborough, NJ; great grandchildren: Renna, Rory & Garrett Kaldor of Perham, MN, and Emma Kaldor of Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Alma (Christianson) Roe; brothers: Norman, Orville, Archie, Stanley, & Ordean. Blessed be the memory of Dr. T.L. Christianson. Visitation: Will be 5 – 7:00 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.
