Margret Ringsrud, 96, of Hatton, ND, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at the Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton, ND. Margret Agnes Lindaas was born May 1, 1918, in Mayville, ND, the daughter of Eddie and Emma (Bestul) Lindaas. She graduated from Mayville High School and later earned her teaching degree from Mayville State College. Margret was a rural teacher in the Mayville, Aneta, Nash and Chaffee ND. She married Leif Ringsrud in Climax, ND on June 6, 1940. The couple farmed in the Mayville area until their retirement. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, in rural Hatton, where she held various offices in her circle and was a Sunday school teacher. Margret was a 4-H leader, news writer and a camp director for the ND Farmers Union. Margret loved attending worship services in the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel and her visits with Pastor Lyste as he shared the readings of the Word with her. She was a skipbo player and enjoyed the many friends who played with her. Margret is survived by her son: John (Karen) Ringsrud of Lakota, ND; daughter: Emilie (George) Berg of Hatton, ND; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two brothers: Norman (Ruth) Lindaas of Everett, WA and Elroy (Janice) Lindaas of Mayville, ND. She is preceded in death by her husband: Leif Ringsrud on July 8, 1980; three sisters: Elaine (Earl) Satrom of Clifford, ND, Alpha (Everett) Schultz of Neche, ND and Harriet (Lynn) Larson of Mesa, AZ. Visitation: Will be at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel one hour prior to the service. Funeral Service: 2:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Hatton Prairie Village Chapel in Hatton, ND. Burial: Will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday in the Mayville City Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
