107 year old resident of Galesburg, ND dies. Ingrid Klamt died on October 22, 2008 in Fargo, ND, under the Care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Ingrid was born on June 2, 1901 in Ørje, Norway to Hans and Marthe (Jensen) Andresen. The family immigrated to the U.S. in 1904. Ingrid grew up in Galesburg and was education there. She attended college at Moorhead, MN, Mayville, ND and Valley City, ND. She taught at Whitman, ND, Sherwood, ND, Dazey, ND and Galesburg. Ingrid moved to Ashton, ID in 1930 and taught there until 1946. Ingrid married Joseph D. Klamt on June 8, 1932 at Galesburg, and they then returned to Ashton. She and Joe purchased Teton Pharmacy in 1946. Her greatest joys were her dear friends, her roses, and enjoying morning coffee looking at the Tetons. They retired in 1967 and traveled all over the world until Joe’s death in 1974. Ingrid then moved back to Galesburg and continued globe trotting with her sister Esther Johnson. Ingrid resided in Galesburg until two weeks prior to her death. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Dr. Robert (Valene) Klamt of Eagle, ID, and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents, four sisters and four brothers. Memorial Service: Monday, October 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Elm River Lutheran Church, Galesburg, ND. Visitation: One hour prior to the memorial service, at the church.
