Elayne I. Enger

Elayne I Enger 85, passed away on October 31, 2014 at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville ND. Her family was by her side. Elayne Isophine Crawford was born on October 8, 1929 to Everett and Ethel (Andrews) Crawford. She graduated from Buxton High School and Mayville State Teachers College On February 26, 1949 she married Nello O Enger from Portland ND. They celebrated 65 years together. They moved to Erie where she taught grade school. She also taught in Absaraka and Ayr ND. She retired from teaching and became Postmaster in Erie and then in Page ND. After retirement they moved to Mayville ND where she was active in the Church, VFW and Legion Auxiliary and the Caring Club. She loved to play Pinochle with friends. She is survived by her husband: Nello of Mayville ND; her daughter: Kathy Woodbury of Mayville ND and son: Greg Enger of Osceola, IA. She has 4 grandchildren: Chad (Darla) Woodbury, Lisbon ND, Ryan Woodbury, Grand Forks ND, Erika Woodbury, Argusville ND and Scot (Jess) Enger, Earlham IA. She also has 9 great grandchildren: Josh, Mat, Starr, Lexi, Tori, Skylar, Chloe, Cayden, and Colton. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Mayville Lutheran Church in Mayville, ND.
