Maurice W. Soliah

Maurice W. Soliah, 93, of Mayville, ND died Thursday July 31, 2014 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. Maurice Waldemar Soliah was born December 6, 1920 on the family farm near Hatton, the son of Edward and Helen (Lyche) Soliah. He attended Morgan Township country school and later studied agriculture at the North Dakota Agriculture College in Fargo, ND. On June 1, 1953 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Eunice Wznick from Chaffee, ND. The couple established their home in rural Hatton, where they raised two children. Maurice farmed for about 50 years. The couple traveled to Mesa, AZ for over twenty years and enjoyed their winter home. They moved into Mayville in 2005. Maurice and Eunice were married for 57 years, before she died in 2010. Maurice will be deeply missed by his son and daughter, Marvin Soliah and LuAnn Soliah, both of Wichita, KS. He will also be missed by his friends in the community. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Funeral Service: 1:00 PM Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel in Mayville, ND. Burial: Will be at the Bethany Cemetery, rural Hatton, ND.
