Dirk David Cigelske

Dirk David Cigelske, 55, of Fargo, ND died Sunday May 11, 2014 at their farm near Cummings, ND. Dirk David Cigelske was born on December 26, 1958 at St. Ansgars in Moorhead, MN to David and Iola (Coleman) Cigelske. Dirk was the third of four children. Dirk graduated from Moorhead High School in 1978. He began working for Industrial Builders in May of 1984 and for the past twenty plus years has been Foreman on a variety of projects in North and South Dakota and Minnesota. Dirk worked on the Main Avenue Bridge in Fargo and was getting ready to begin on the 25th Street project. Dirk married Julie Anderson on July 1, 1988 in Bismarck, ND. They returned to Fargo later that year to make their home. Dirk and Julie had two boys, Brock and Zane. The family loved to spend time outdoors together, camping, hunting, fishing and trapping. Dirk enjoyed working with his hands and had recently begun a new hobby cultivating his gardening skills. Dirk is survived by his wife, Juliane Cigelske; his son, Brock (Nicole) Cigelske, Fargo; brothers, Clay (Fern), West Fargo; and Kyle (Brenda), Moorhead, MN. Dirk was preceded in death by his son, Zane Cigelske; his brother Kim Cigelske and his parents David and Iola. Visitation: Will be 5 – 8 PM with a 7:30 PM Public Prayer Service on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Baker Funeral Home Chapel and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1258 N. Broadway in Fargo, ND. Burial: Will be at 1:30 PM Thursday at Carlson Cemetery, rural Cummings, ND.
