Alice Aletta Lindgren

Alice Lindgren, 94, formerly of Hillsboro, ND died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND. Alice Aletta was born August 23, 1918, at Halstad, MN to Arne and Adelia Haugan. She grew up and attended country school and Halstad High School. She was married to Sig Lindgren July 27, 1940 in Las Vegas, NV where they lived for one year. They moved to Hillsboro in 1942 and lived there for 27 years where Sig had the Buick Dealership. Alice worked as a senior companion in Fargo for four years. She loved reading, puzzles, baking, her "Minnesota Twins" games and visiting with friends and family. Alice is survived by her children Jerry (Peggy) Lindgren, St. Paul, MN, Ron Lindgren Moorhead, MN, Laurie (Norm) Evenson, Buxton, ND, Linda (Ron) Brennan, Ventura, CA. Nine grandchildren, nineteen great grand children, and three great-great grandchildren, one sister Ardis Dowling and one brother, David Haugan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sig, three brothers, Leonard, Erwin and Oliver Haugen. Her parents and step mother, Emma Haugen. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the Memorial Service. Memorial Service: 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Luther Memorial Home Chapel, 750 Main St East, Mayville, ND. Burial: East Marsh River Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Halstad, MN.
