Olga Solberg, 93, of Mayville, ND, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. Olga Christine Larson was born December 10, 1919 to Ole and Synneva (Sena Liljedahl) Larson near Portland Junction, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. Olga attended grade school at Viking #11. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1939. She married James Solberg on October 28, 1939 in Hillsboro, ND. They lived on a farm in Norway Township. They raised two daughters. Olga was a member of Norway Lutheran Church, rural Cummings, ND for 73 years. The couple moved to Mayville in 1985. James died on December 19, 1991. Olga lived in Sun Center Assisted Living Center for 12 years and entered the Luther Memorial Home in April of 2012. Olga enjoyed spending time with her family. Her hobbies were hardanger embroidery, crotcheting net scrubbers, embroidering dish towels and working in puzzle books. Olga is survived by two daughters: Roselyn Tolo of Chapel Hill, NC and Ann (Gerald) Boeddeker of Hillsboro, ND; six grandchildren: Kimberly (David) Gottenborg of Pelican Rapids, MN, Kristi (Paul) Passaro of Chapel Hill, NC, Lisa Bernhardson of Fargo, ND, Julie (Bill) Nightingale of Rowayton, CT, Anita (Alex) Nikolov of Chicago, IL and Laurie (Brian) Kuehl of Dilworth, MN; 13 great grandchildren: Peter, Anne and Charles Passaro, Hannah, Cole and Larson Nightingale, Jacob and Rachel Gottenborg, Alex, Evan and Owen Bernhardson, Alexander and James Nikolov. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband James; four sisters: Ida Amb, Mabel Strom, Ruth Hausmann and Helen Frigstad; and three brothers: Melvin Larson, Selmer Larson and Arthur Larson. Visitation: Will be on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5 ~ 7 PM with a 6:30 PM Public Prayer Service at the Baker Funeral Home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
