Grace Nora Berglie

Grace Nora Berglie, 88, of Mayville, ND, died March 12, 2008, at the Union Hospital in Mayville. She was born on August 8, 1919, in Portland, ND, the daughter of Ludvig and Anna (Jorgenson) Domier. Grace grew up on a farm South West of Portland and attended country school. After her schooling, she cooked for the family, on the farm. On December 31, 1951, she married Arthur Berglie. The couple lived in California for a short time before moving back to Mayville. Grace was employed at the Union Hospital and later at Paula’s Café, both of Mayville, as a cook. She moved into the Suncenter Apartments in October of 1999, and has resided their since. Grace was a member of the Mayville Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, flower beds and her vegetable garden. Grace especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Curt) Benson of Portland; son, James (Suzy) Berglie of Harwood, ND; three grandchildren, Kristen Berglie of Reno NV, Eric Benson of Terrabonne, OR and Kelly Benson of Fargo, ND; one great granddaughter, Morgan Benson of Terrabonne, OR; and one sister, Ida Brekke of Hoffman, MN. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Arthur in 1998; two sisters and five brothers.
