Sylvia C. Reynolds, 72, passed away at Sanford-Mayville Hospital on Monday October 22, 2012. Sylvia Corrine Reynolds was born June 15th, 1940 to Christian and Olga (Domier) Anderson in Portland, ND. She attended school in Portland and married Bob Reynolds in 1960. Sylvia raised four children on a farm near Clifford, ND. She worked throughout her life at area retail and service businesses in the Mayville-Portland area as well as in California. In 1988 she moved to Klamath, CA with her special friend, Bob Priestly where she lived until they returned home in 1991. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, singing Karaoke and attending her Grandchildren’s functions. Sylvia leaves behind her companion Bob Priestly, her children, Carla (Peter) Sather, Grandin, ND; Michael (Shannon) Reynolds, Portland, ND; Mary Leedom (Dave Rasmussen) Fargo, ND and Daniel Reynolds, Portland, ND; grandchildren Clay Leedom (Suzanne Rawdon), Elizabeth Reynolds, Meghan Reynolds (Ben Gates), Jacob Reynolds and Colin Hanson; sisters Dorothy Amundson, Opal (Robert) Strand, Shirley Thykeson; brother-in-law: Herald Tastad and many nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Arlene Tastad; brothers-in-law: Arlin Amundson and Kenneth Thykeson. Visitation: Will be on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5 ~ 7 PM with a 7 PM Public Prayer Service at the Baker Funeral Home and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Bruflat Lutheran Church in Portland, ND. Burial: Bruflat Cemetery, Portland, ND.
