Florence Juliet Egge

Florence Juliet Egge was born to Mathias and Ellen Sund on June 27, 1912 at Pickert, ND. She grew up and attended school at Pickert. She graduated from Manette Beauty School in Fargo, ND and operated a beauty shop in Finley, ND during the early 1930’s. In 1937 and 1938 she worked at various places in California. Florence was married to Oscar Egge on July 21, 1939 at Blabon, ND. During WWII they worked in California, later returning to North Dakota. Oscar taught school at Clyde and Rock Lake, ND. In 1949 they moved to Mayville, ND. Oscar died March 13, 1981. For the past 14 years, Florence has resided in the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. Florence died on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at the age of 95 years. She was the “last leaf” of her large family, and she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Mayville. VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the church. BURIAL: Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
