Alexander Cyrus Knutson, 26, of Climax, MN died Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Traill County ND. Alex was born in Fergus Falls, MN on August 9, 1986, the son of Elka and Todd Knutson. He graduated from Community High School in Grand Forks, ND. After his schooling, he entered the United States Navy. Alex was stationed in San Diego, CA and served during the Iraqi War. He was proud of his country and also was immensely proud to have served in the US Navy. Most recently, he and his family: Baily, Carson, Drew and Elka moved back to rural Climax, MN. Alex started working for Agassiz Drain Tile in Buxton, ND. All of Alex’s co-workers and boss, he considered “friends”. Preceding him in death are his grandfathers, Myron Bratager and Wesley Knutson; aunts, Lois Waslien and Clara Bratager; uncles, Raymond Bratager, Sherman Bratager and Kermit Bratager. Alex is survived by his mother, Elka Johnson of Climax, MN; father, Todd Knutson of Fergus Falls, MN; two sisters, Baily and Carson Knutson of Climax, MN; one brother, Drew Knutson of Climax, MN; grandmothers, Bette Batager of Galesburg, ND and Lois Knutson of Fergus Falls, MN. Alex is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation: Will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
