Helen B. Bahl, 97, of Mayville, ND, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at the Luther Memorial Home in Mayville. Helen was born February 27, 1910, in Blanchard, ND, the daughter of Hans and Bertha (Tveito) Ege. She attended country school #3 in Blanchard and later attained a teaching certificate at Mayville Teachers College. She then returned to teach school at Blanchard #3. On April 4, 1936, she married Mathew Bahl in Hillsboro, ND. The couple resided in Blanchard one year before moving to Mayville. Helen worked for many years at Hallada Flowers in Mayville. She was an active member in the First American Lutheran Church of Mayville. Helen also enjoyed to sew and was quite a talented seamstress. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Helen is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Gary) Amb of Hatton, ND; one son, Clayton (Ruth) Bahl of Lakeside, CA; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Frida Stockmoe of Fargo, ND and two sons-in-law, Bill Johnson of Arthur, ND and Vernon Willeson of Mayville. She is preceded in death by her husband Matt, two daughters, Marlene Willeson and Ellen Johnson, three brothers and one sister. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM Monday, November 5, 2007 at First American Lutheran Church in Mayville. VISITATION: Sunday, November 4, 2007 from 1-3 PM at Baker Funeral Home of Mayville and will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. BURIAL: Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND.
