Verona Vey Flickinger

Verona Vey Flickinger, 80 of Wahpeton, ND, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND. Verona was born March 28, 1927 in Colgate Township, ND the daughter of Levi Henry Wilson and Anna (Jans) Flickinger. She grew up on the farm near Colgate and lived in various group homes throughout her life, including Fargo, ND, Arthur, ND, and for the last ten years, Wahpeton, ND. Verona loved to be around people, especially children and babies. She always had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed gardening outside at the farm, and she also loved playing the Jew’s Harp. She loved to make things with her hands. In Wahpeton she became of member of the Evergreen United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Nadine (Wayne) Cole, Page, ND and Eileen Bush (Ken) Rickel, New Rockford, ND; one sister-in-law, Bernice Flickinger; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gerald and Leonard. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, November 2, 2007 at 10:30 at Evergreen United Methodist Church, Wahpeton, ND. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Page United Methodist Church, Page, ND. VISITATION: 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. BURIAL: Page Cemetery, Page, ND.
